Blade Fights

The Most Fierce MMA Tournament .

We are MMA (mixed martial arts) professionals, enthusiasts, who have been growing this sport in Lithuania for more than 20 years. We believe that fights without rules here still have a lot of untapped potential, that’s why we decided to enter a new stage – to organize international, top-level tournaments “Blade Fights” and create all the conditions so that Lithuanian athletes could constantly improve and compete with the most famous fighters from all over the world. 

By the name “Blade Fights” we wanted to say that our goal is to create an exceptionally high level of fights where the sharpest, fiercest, most professional fighters meet and to share the beauty of these fights with others – not only in Lithuania, but also viewers from all over the word.

The road to the tournament will not be easy, but we promise to help you along it. The result will be exciting.

FOUNDERS OF BLADE FIGHTS

Romualdas Klimavičius

One of the authors and founders of BLADE FIGHTS, President of the Association.  

Renowned fighter, coach, European professional Muay Thai champion, world championship prize winner. His experience in martial arts gyms started at the age of five. From 14 to 30 years of age, he practiced kickboxing, Thai boxing, tried his hand at judo, karate, martial self-defence, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, local and world championships, prestigious commercial tournaments. During this period, he stepped into the ring 101 times. Fight statistics: professional — 51 wins and 14 losses, amateur — 22 wins and 11 losses. 4 boxing fights — 3 wins and 1 loss, 5 MMA fights — 4 wins and 1 loss.

The fighter was nicknamed Britva by his fans in Lithuania and Blade abroad because he was a very fast, sharp, technical, stubborn, and hard-working athlete. He has been coaching athletes for 25 years and preparing them for competitions for 10 years. Many of them have gone on to win prizes and championships.

  • 1998 — Bronze medal winner of the IKBF Kickboxing World Championships.
  • 1999–2000 — Lithuanian Muay Thai Champion.
  • 2001 — World WKA Muay Thai Championship runner-up.
  • 2003 — Baltic Muay Thai Champion.
  • 2004 — Lumpini Gala 1 Muay Thai Finland prize winner.
  • 2005 — Lumpini Gala 2 Muay Thai Finland prize winner.
  • 2006 — European Professional Muay Thai Champion EPMTF.
  • 2007 — S1 International Muay Thai Professional Tournament Grand Prix 3rd place winner.
  • 2007 — Thai Fights Night International Muay Thai Pro Top 16 participant and prize winner.

Tomas Skamaročius

One of the authors and founders of BLADE FIGHTS, tournament streaming director.  

Internationally acclaimed TV broadcast director. The professionalism and creativity of the team he leads delights millions of sports fans around the world. Anyone who has ever turned on the TV and watched one of Tomas’s sports broadcasts knows that this team is at the height of professionalism. As Tomas himself knows: “We are motivated professionals!”

Gediminas Jaunius

One of the authors and founders of BLADE FIGHTS, tournament producer.  

In 2005, he founded the Creative House ELITAZ, which he still manages today and is the chief producer. Talpa entertainment production, ITV Studios TV format authorised representative for the Baltic States.
A charismatic personality, well known in the Lithuanian entertainment market. His work is very wide-ranging, his creative solutions bold and innovative, with a distinctive style. He sets high aesthetic and quality standards for the events and projects he produces, with ambitious goals and achieves them.

 

Key projects:

  • From 2008 to present — producer and director of numerous and various events, concerts, festivals, campaigns, TV shows.
  • From 2012 to present — Chief Producer of THE VOICE OF LITHUANIA, based on the global franchise The Voice.
  • From 2015 to present — co-creator, producer, and director of the National Technology Awards TECH TOP.
