ELITAZ Newest International MMA project ‘Blade Fights’ Kicks off on Feb 4, 2023

For the first time on February 4, 2023, in a Lithuanian ring, the mixed martial arts tournament Blade Fights will start in the Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas, Lithuania. On this special occasion, many world-famous personalities are coming to Lithuania from all over the world. 

“Blade Fights is not just another Mixed Martial Art Tournament for me. I feel that the tournament as a whole personifies the strength of the human spirit that stands tall in the face of adversity. I welcome everyone to join us and become part of history that we will be creating with the biggest and most professional MMA tournament the Baltic States has ever seen,” says Romualdas Klimavičius, a legendary fighter and  president of the Blade Fights association.

The tournament would be available for streaming worldwide on American digital video streaming service Fite.TV which that has become extremely popular among combat sports-related programming. “ Given the importance of the first MMA tournament, Blade Fights in a Lithuanian ring, we are extremely proud that we have collaborated with  Fite.TV for global online streaming. There is no doubt that the quality will be topnotch given the fact that the in-charge of the broadcast would be Tomas Skamarocius, who is a known sports director and is Euroleague Final World feed director Since 2017 till present, experienced with Tokyo Olympics – athletics, Futsal World Cup 2021 amongst others.”Says Executive producer Gediminas Jaunius.

Popular TV and radio presenter of Irish origin Aidan Power who recently worked with one of the world’s largest mixed martial arts organizations, Bellator would host the tournament, which is attracting participation from world-renowned fighters. The host will be assisted by seasoned sports commentator and journalist Ronald McIntosh, who has solid experience at the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, BT Sport, and more. Sports commentator Tautvydas Kubilius will help Lithuanian sports fans follow the events in the ring on the BTV broadcast. Meanwhile, Lithuanian sports news presenter Adomas Grinius will interview the fighters after the fights.

Fans of passionate and fierce fights around the world will be able to watch the Blade Fights tournament seeing some of their favorite fighters in action: 

The face and hope of the tournament – young but very experienced fighter Žygymantas Ramaška (Lithuania) will challenge the famous Brazilian athlete  Carlos Eduardo Oliveira. Sebastian Romanowski (Poland) will face Gustavo Rios Erak (Brazil), Pirun Wangpol-Komphikart (Thailand) – with Teo Mikelić (Croatia), Deividas Danyla (Lithuania) – with Panagiotis Yusuf (United Kingdom), Kostadin Vasilev Enev (Bulgaria) – with Mihail Sirb (Moldova), Mindaugas Veržbickas (Lithuania) – with Abner Lloveras (Spain), Ariston Barbarosa de Franca (Brazil) – with Aksin Alim Oglu Babayew (Azerbaijan).

The Chief producer of The Voice Lithuania & Founder of ELITAZ Gedminas Jaunius promises there will be no shortage of show elements at the event: “We are preparing a show where mixed martial arts will meet other arts, first of all, music. The tournament will start with an impressive opening show of live music. During the breaks, the audience will be delighted by spectacular performances by music artists, and the climax of the evening before the Biggest Fight will be fulfilled – by the biggest name in hip-hop music in the Baltic region, the G&G SINDIKATAS.”

The MMA tournament Blade Fights will be broadcasted live from Kaunas Zalgirio arena on FITE.TV on Saturday the 4th of February. Worldwide streaming would be available on Fite.TV from 8 pm (EET).
